Does Showerdome really work?
The Showerdome has been installed on shower enclosures in more than 50,000 thousand homes across Europe and the South Pacific. Studies from The University of Waikato, NZ have proven that this unique innovation effectively traps warm air, blocks cold air and completely stops the production of steam in your bathroom.
Absolutely. There are 10 different shower top designs with variable shapes and sizes. From those selections a trained installer can custom fit the Showerdome to your own shower stall. This ensures a perfect fit every time.
How does Showerdome work?
Steam forms when the warm, moisture filled air mixes with cooler air. The result is clouds of steam filling the bathroom. A Showerdome cap on your shower enclosure locks warm air in and keeps cold air out stopping steam from forming. It's quite simple!
Does Showerdome save me money?
The best part about getting a Showerdome installed is that it's a one-time investment. It cost nothing to run it while it saves you money; you can close windows to save on heating, turn off the vent and fans since there's no moisture to vent outside and you'll use less hot water. So what will you be doing with all those savings?
Is Showerdome expensive?
The Showerdome top is no more expensive than any other simple remodel in your home. It's a small one time investment that will pay for itself quickly through energy savings.
How do I clean it?
We recommend cleaning the top of the dome with a feather duster, however if you do ever wish to give it more of a clean it can be removed by just taking the front 2 screws out and it will slide out.
Can I install Showerdome myself?
Of course! Installation is simple with a DIY kit to help you get your new shower top installed on your shower enclosure. It's always best to have a trained installer handle your Showerdome installation to ensure a complete seal and proper setting but we can provide just about everything you need to do a DIY install.
Will I ever need to replace Showerdome?
The Showerdome has a lifetime guarantee this means it will outlast your shower without fear of cracking, staining or deterioration.
Will it drip on my head?
No, as there is no steam there is no condensation so therefore no cold drips either.
My shower rose is too high?
There is a few options. Firstly we don't want to move the shower rose as this will great more holes in the shower. Some shower roses can be adjusted if this is possible fantastic. If not, can it be trimmed off the top. If none of the above works then the dome can be trimmed to suit.
